    Job Title: Chef

    Location: NONNU'S CAFE & RESTAURANT, managed by Cafe on Swan Unit Trust

    Position Description: Join our team at NONNU'S CAFE & RESTAURANT as a Chef. We are looking for individual focused on food preparation coupled with the ability to produce quality and consistency.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design menus and estimate the costs of food and labor, while also managing the procurement of food supplies.
    • Oversee all stages of dish preparation, ensuring the quality and presentation meet high standards.
    • Liaise with managerial staff, dietitians, and the service team to resolve issues related to food preparation.
    • Provide guidance on cooking techniques and procedures to kitchen staff.
    • Execute the preparation and cooking of food with high proficiency.
    • Maintain strict adherence to food hygiene and safety regulations.
    • Opportunity to participate in the selection and training of kitchen staff.
    • Oversee the storage and preservation of food.

    Skills and Experience Required:

    • Must have a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) with Diploma of Hospitality Management.
    • A minimum of two year experience in a professional kitchen setting.
    • Proficient in managing food costs, menu planning, and staff training.
    • In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
    • The ability to work varied shifts from Morning to late evenings (including weekends)
    • The ability to think outside the box with a positive can-do attitude

    Salary: AUD $70,000 - $80,000 per year + Superannuation, based on experience and qualifications.
