    Logistics Coordinator


    North Sydney, NSW

    An Australian company at the forefront of concentrated solar thermal power (CSP) technology has developed innovative CSP systems designed to generate, store, and dispatch carbon-free, utility-scale electricity and industrial heat.

    The team is expanding, requiring a Logistics Coordinator to ensure efficient distribution of goods and timely delivery of all project components and supplies to designated sites.

    Responsibilities:


    1. Coordinate with project teams to identify shipping weights and volumes.
    2. Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to coordinate deliveries.
    3. Procure cost-effective logistics services.
    4. Liaise with freight forwarding and transport companies to book delivery times/slots.
    5. Ensure necessary documents and permits are in place for customs clearance.
    6. Develop shipping schedules in coordination with Projects Controls staff.
    7. Track and report transportation/shipping progress against schedules.
    8. Develop and maintain project logistics budgets.
    9. Expedite manufacturing supply and coordinate progress reports from suppliers.

    Requirements


    1. A relevant supply chain or logistics qualification.
    2. Experience in logistics and inventory planning, particularly with dangerous goods transport/logistics/storage requirements.
    3. Prior experience with high-hazard and fragile supply logistics, oversize/overmass equipment movement, and customs/quarantine processes.
    4. Knowledge of insurance and customs requirements and legislation.
    5. Familiarity with ERP and logistics software.
    6. Advanced numerical, administrative, and computer literacy skills, MS Excel proficiency.
    7. Experience in route planning and transport utilization.
    8. Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    9. Flexibility to meet deadlines.
    10. Excellent organisational skills, accuracy, and data entry efficiency.
    11. Commercial acumen and understanding of financial implications of transport and inventory management.
    12. Australian citizen or permanent resident.
