    Job Description

    As the Link 16 Test Support Technician supporting Defence networks (Link16, Tactical Data Link) in Fyshwick, ACT you will be required to undertake a broad range of tasks including:

    • Technical Support for Conformance to Standard testing and evaluation of Tactical Data Link components and systems
    • RF/tactical communications associated with radio frequency and tactical communications systems in areas such as HF, VHF, UHF, SATCOM
    • A good understanding of Tactical Data Link technologies and equipment
    • Setup and support of Tactical Data Link equipment to facilitate testing of ADF platforms throughout Australia
    • Provide technical advice to Commonwealth and Industry partners during informal and formal test events
    • Basic ICT skills and knowledge,
    • Ability to meet export control requirements
    • Ability to adhere to WHS policies and guidelines

    Qualifications

    Some of the key things we're looking for in you:

    • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence security clearance (Negative Vetting 2 level required as a minimum to start in the role)
    • Degree/Certificate in IT or similar
    • Previous Experience in Tactical Data Links, Link16 is desirable
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer engagement skills
