    Job Description

    As the Human Patient Simulation Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the Griffith Health Human Patient Simulation Program, which has an integral role in simulated learning and assessment activities in both intra- and inter-professional learning settings. In this role, you will work with academic and other professional staff across the Group, to develop and implement administrative systems and processes to support the safe, effective and efficient use of expert human simulation patients to provide authentic and realistic learning activities. You will also manage the Health Group's Human Patient Simulation program, including the appointment, training, scheduling, management, and support of expert human simulation patients. You will:

    • In conjunction with the Human Patient Simulation Officer, lead and support a team of sessional staff (expert human simulation patients) who provide quality human patient simulation across the Group.
    • Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain systems, processes, and procedures unique to the Human Patient Simulation program that focus on continuous improvement of the program.
    • Undertake a wide range of specialised routine to moderately complex administrative tasks, including handling confidential assessment and other information, in support of the Human patient Simulation program.
    • Maintain positive and collaborative working relationships, and communicate effectively with key academic and professional staff, including the Human Patient Simulation Officer, Deputy Heads of School Learning and Teaching, Program Directors, Course Convenors, facilitators, School Managers and other professional staff members, to ensure effective Program administration, including the timely delivery and quality improvement of authentic and effective human patient simulation learning experiences across the Health Group.
    • Coordinate and prepare advice and recommendations to support decision making on matters related to the human patient simulation program.
    • Provide coordination of small-scale projects within established deadlines, focused on human patient simulation.
    • Be a leading example of the principles and values embodied in the University's Code of Conduct, and behave, act and communicate at all times to reflect fairness, ethics and professionalism.

    This is a part time (40%), continuing position based at the Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations. Griffith University's campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

    Salary range
    The full-time base salary for HEW Level 6 position is in the range of $ $ per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation. The total FTE package is in the range $102,780 - $109,630 per annum.
