    The Company

    A great opportunity exists for an experienced and qualified CNC Programmer who is proficient in Solidcam and has the ability to operate DMG Mori CNC 5 axis milling machines or CNC Swiss Star Lathes. The company is interested in looking after their staff and is keen to help with their development. Our client has the capabilities to design, manufacture and commission complete project solutions and service a wide range of industries. Their current list of machines are DMG Mori, Swiss Star, Okuma and Doosan with a modern manufacturing plant that is 3000 square metres.

    The Role:

    As a CNC programmer, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting technical blueprints, inputting the design specifications, adjusting the machine cutting paths, and performing quality checks on the final product. You may also be required to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.

    • Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models
    • Loading raw materials into the CNC machine
    • Inputting the product design into the computer modelling software
    • Choosing and loading the correct cutting tools for the job
    • Adjusting machine settings to the desired product specifications
    • Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process
    • Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product
    • Cleaning and maintaining the machine
    • Training new staff on machine operation procedures

    About you:

    • Certificate 3 in Engineering (CNC Programming)
    • Perform CNC 4 & 5 axis milling operations
    • Previous experience with DMG Mori machines or Swiss Star preferred
    • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine method and sequence of operations and machine settings required
    • Perform operational functions with Fanuc controllers
    • Previous experience with CAD and CAM
    • Good mechanical aptitude and assembly skills
    • Previous experience working in a workshop environment
    • Previous experience using precision measuring equipment
    • Ability to work to tight deadlines, manage work loads and be part of a team environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • A high regard for OH&S & work quality

    On offer:

    Day shift hours, Monday to Friday, Annual salary of 100K+, plus super
