    Senior Software Engineer, Visual Language and Multimodal Modeling

    Key Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • 5 years of experience in software development.
    • Experience in software engineering, including C++, Python, data processing, and backend development.
    • Publishing research in leading computer science venues like CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR.

    About the Role

    As a senior software engineer at Google, you will develop innovative technologies that transform how billions interact with information and each other. Our products handle massive scale and encompass various areas, such as large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, AI, NLP, UI, and mobile technologies.

    You will work on critical projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create cutting-edge technologies. In this role, you will focus on developing biometric authentication technology, supporting high-level Product Area OKRs to accelerate product development cycles.

    Our mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. The Devices & Services team combines AI, software, and hardware to create helpful experiences, advancing technology to improve user interaction with computing.

    Responsibilities

    • Explore multimodal technologies, including visual language models and learning techniques, to improve face authentication solutions.
    • Collaborate with data teams to collect, evaluate, and label datasets (define requirements, design data collection, and labeling programs).
    • Identify quality issues and iterate on technical solutions.
    • Design, implement, optimize, and integrate machine learning algorithms into production systems.
