    We have an exciting and enriching opportunity for a Trade Mark Administrator to join our highly regarded Australian Intellectual Property and Technology practice, on a full-time permanent basis.

We specialise in IP commercialisation and licensing, information technology, franchising, IT procurement, privacy, consumer protection, technology and regulatory compliance.

    About the role

    • Manage trade mark portfolios for clients, including coordinating filings, registrations, and maintenance of trade marks both nationally and internationally
    • Drafting and filing trade mark applications in Australia as well as applications for international trade mark registrations (IRs)
    • Conduct trade mark searches and assist in the clearance process to assess availability and registrability of trade marks
    • Communicate with clients, foreign associates, and intellectual property offices to ensure timely and accurate processing of trade mark matters
    • Entering and maintaining data on our IP management platform
    • Assisting to manage the Australian and global trade mark portfolios of our clients
    • Assisting to compile evidence for trade mark infringement, opposition and non-use proceedings
    • Coordinating global trade mark filings with associate firms and other Dentons offices
    • Creating and updating trade mark fee schedules and template letters
    • Creating workflows, checklists and best practice processes for managing trade mark applications and oppositions
    • Assist with billing and administrative tasks to support the overall operations of the team.

    About you

    • Previous experience as a Trade Marks Assistant or IP Paralegal in an IP specialist practice
    • Experience working with an IP Management Software docketing system
    • Experience liaising with the Australian Trade Marks Office and WIPO
    • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
    • Advanced knowledge of Elite 3E or other finance software to manage expenses and billing
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
    • High attention to detail.
