    DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS:

    Jaros Engineering is an Australian manufacturing company leading in precision machine engineering with more than 20 years experience in servicing the mining and drilling industries. We need a Metal Machinist to perform the following duties.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Machine Operation: Set up and operate metalworking machines such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines to perform machining operations on metal parts.

    2. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to understand the required dimensions, tolerances, and specifications for the metal parts.

    3. Tool Setup: Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine attachments and set them up on the machines for each job.

    4. Material Preparation: Load metal stock onto machines and position it correctly for machining operations.

    5. Machining Processes: Perform cutting, shaping, drilling, and finishing operations on metal parts using appropriate machining techniques and processes.

    6. Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure they meet the specified dimensions and quality standards.

    7. Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn-out parts to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

    8. Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries.

    9. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize machining processes, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality.

    10. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including the number of parts produced, machine settings, and any issues encountered during the machining process.

    Appropriate candidate must have the following skills, education and experience:

    Education : Certificate III or Certificate IV or Diploma

    Australian Experience : At least 3 + years of Australian Experience OR

    Overseas Experience : At least 3+ years of Overseas Experience

    Specialist : Metal Machinist

    Work Rights : Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or Full Work Rights Holder

    Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents will be preferred. Other applicants with full work rights can apply only if they meet the above criteria.
