    About Slade:
    Slade Health is a national provider of aseptically compounded chemotherapy, antibiotics and analgesic medicines. It operates TGA Licensed manufacturing facilities in Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and New Zealand.

    About the Role:
    This role of Laboratory Technician will be part of Slade Health's scientific team and work in Slade Health's laboratory. In this role your work will support the compounded products and manufacturing activities of Slade Health's compounding facilities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    In this position you will be involved in:
    • Support ongoing calibration and certification activities
    • Operate, calibrate, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot basic analytical instruments.
    • Perform routine and non-routine analysis related to stability studies of complex biological molecules (monoclonal antibodies and antibody drug conjugates), and simple chemical molecules (cytotoxics, antibiotics and analgesics)
    • Sampling and preparation of samples for further testing and analysis
    • Validation and execution of test methods (analytical and biological)
    • Qualification of laboratory equipment
    • Record and report analytical results.
    • Establish and maintain quality records and workstation records.
    • Maintain the quality of laboratory instrumentation and perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance as needed.
    • Support all phases of laboratory record keeping.
    • Following all documented procedures to ensure maintenance of quality accreditation.
    • Testing of drug infusion devices to confirm performance to specification
    • Maintain control of supply inventory
    What we are looking for:
    • Candidate must have a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical, or other biological/analytical discipline.
    • You will ideally be familiar with the strict requirements of GMP.
    • You will be able to prioritise workloads to ensure that desired outcomes are achieved to challenging deadlines.
    • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
    • You will have good attention to detail, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
    Required
    • Understanding of basic scientific principles and theories for plate based immunological methods like ELISA, protein binding assays, chromatographic methods.
    • Experience working with one or more of following methods: ELISA, SDS-PAGE, UV-Vis, and cell-based assays.
    • Experience in cell-culture or aseptic techniques.
    Desirable
    • Experience in a similar role would be highly regarded
    • Experience with analytical techniques like HPLC (SEC, HIC, CIEX, RP), capillary electrophoresis, SDS CE and particle counting, microscopy will be a plus.
    This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis working 76 hours per fortnight (Mon–Fri). Slade Health Mt Kuring-gai is a good location to consider if you would like a commute to work that doesn't involve CBD traffic
