What you'll be doing

We are seeking a highly skilled System Engineer with the ability to work in a demanding environment with an enthusiastic sense of customer support, you will need to communicate and coordinate with clients as well as other technology groups in a complex and highly governed environment.

The role will involve:

Delivery of technical support for the client/server environment
Maintaining backups and disaster recovery tooling and capabilities
Patching and upgrading supported systems in line with policy
Liaise with service providers to investigate and resolve issues with supported infrastructure and applications
Assist in creating and maintaining a knowledgebase of documentation such as as-builts for supported systems
Ensure timely resolution of incidents against SLA

Working Conditions

• Based in Deakin, ACT

• Permanent full time

• Hybrid work

• Australian Citizen with NV1 Security Clearance or ability to obtain one

What will make you successful in this role?

Experience support Windows Server including DNS, AD, Group Policy, Print Management, File Services, DHCP
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare
Experience with enterprise storage such as NetApp.
Understanding of Azure\AWS and cloud concepts
Experience with Data protection technologies such as Veeam, Commvault
Experience with patching Windows systems via MECM
PowerShell Scripting for automation
Highly Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), VM Ware Certified Professional (VCP))
