About the Opportunity

The Site Manager plays a key role in optimizing the performance of our 88MW Kareeya Hydro Power Station in Tully. Responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operations with a focus on health, safety, and the environment; the Site Manager supervises the implementation of CleanCo's asset management strategy following CleanCo's policies, standards, and frameworks.

Leading on-site engineering, operators, and maintenance staff, you will guarantee the reliability and availability of this crucial generation asset, while seeking opportunities for optimization to support CleanCo's trading strategy. As a member of the Operational Leadership Team, you will contribute to shaping CleanCo's strategic direction and ensure that activities at Kareeya align with the overall plan, budget, and asset management strategy.

About you

• Bringing extensive experience in a power station or heavy industry, you possess expertise in managing and executing asset management strategies.
• You are a natural leader who promotes a culture of continuous improvement, embraces innovation, drives change, and encourages a unified, collaborative team atmosphere.
• You excel at engaging a team to prioritize health, safety, and the environment, while upholding operational and maintenance best practices.
• We welcome candidates with proven operational leadership skills and people management experience, especially those with a relevant engineering background.
• You are adept at working across all levels, including closely with senior management while effectively communicating with the onsite operational team.
• Prior experience in risk management, budgeting, and asset management is essential to your success.
• You demonstrate a solid grasp and application of asset management, maintenance management, and commercial principles and processes.
• You are driven by a passion to contribute to something greater than yourself, particularly in delivering renewable, reliable, and affordable energy for Queensland.
