    Reporting directly to the Associate Director, Engineering Australia, the Program Technical Lead will play a vital role in key defence programs, providing technical leadership and mentorship across Australia's engineering operations. Engage with stakeholders and a network of global engineering professionals and senior defence personnel, and lead the technical decision-making process, design assessment, and change proposals.

    Collaborate with the Product Architect, technical experts, and design authority to ensure technical requirements are met. Drive the development of new design approaches, technologies, and process improvements, fostering continuous learning and enhancement. Convert customer requirements into total systems solutions systematically, considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

    Key qualifications for success in this role include a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science degree, prior experience in technical leadership of engineering projects, strong communication and collaboration skills, proven ability to represent the company as a technical expert, leadership experience in making technical decisions, and familiarity with command, control, and communications systems in a Defence environment.

    Experience throughout the systems development process, including requirements capture, design, integration, and verification/validation, is essential. Experience with bid and pursuit work in an Australian government acquisition model and familiarity with engineering development in an agile and DEVSECOPS environment are advantageous.
