    We are pleased to invite applications for the position of Team Lead (Aircraft Maintenance Manager) to join our UH-60M Black Hawk team.

    About the role

    As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Team Lead for the UH-60M program, you will provide supervision and team leadership to ensure maintenance is performed and completed, and aircraft are airworthy in accordance with local and international aviation standards.

    Assist with the leadership and efficient management of designated section aircraft or aircraft component maintenance activities. Ensure all assigned AMEs perform maintenance only within their level of authorisation. Technical authority and delegation levels as outlined in the relevant Maintenance Management System.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Lead and co-ordinate a UH-60M sustainment team, providing mentoring and coaching to that team while ensuring that assigned tasks are performed safely, to required quality standards, on time and on budget.
    • Monitor work activities and work closely with relevant stakeholders to address any issues that may affect the successful completion of tasks and projects within timeframes and budget.
    • Perform Aircraft Maintenance Manager, Error Capture/Independent Inspector, Supervisor and AME tasks in accordance with all regulatory and customer standards as required.
    • Certify for inspections, within level of authority, or arrange for such inspections to be carried out.
    • Ensure team skills, knowledge, qualifications, authorisations and capability are maintained and developed in order to support current and planned projects.
    • Allocate assigned labour resources to ensure required maintenance activities are performed safely, efficiently and effectively with minimum cost.

    About you:

    To be successful in this role, you will have:

    • Tertiary qualifications (Certificate IV or above) in a relevant discipline (Aeroskills - Avionics, Mechanical, Structures etc.) from a recognised institution
    • Appropriate aircraft trade qualifications (e.g. trade papers, apprenticeship, indentures etc)
    • S-70A-9 Military Aircraft Type Rating
    • DASR 66 Categories C and either B1.3 or B2 on your MAML
    • Significant knowledge and understanding of the requirements of DASA or EASA regulatory frameworks.
    • Significant technical knowledge and experience working on helicopters and/or components
    • Computer literacy with an ability to produce, analyse, and interpret complex reports and information
    • Intermediate skills and experience in the use of MS Office and other relevant software packages and applications

    Special Requirements:

    Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold a current or restorable NV1 Defence Security Clearance.

    Applicants must be able to satisfy the US Government ITAR and EXIM requirements.
