    About the job

    As a Business Development Contracts Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing the performance, reporting, and compliance of our bespoke customer contracts within the Customer Growth business unit. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that billing initiatives align with SA Water's policies and regulatory requirements, delivering accurate and timely billing for individualized products and services. You will collaborate closely with Account and Business Development Managers to resolve invoice and contract related issues and contribute to continuous improvement in billing processes, supporting our digital and customer strategy. Additionally, you will maintain records, conduct contractual audits, and generate reports to meet contractual obligations and regulatory standards. You will also manage applications for commercial activities on SA Water's reservoirs. This role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to service excellence in a dynamic environment.

    In addition, your responsibilities will include:

    • Develop contract management plans to support our supply contracts with business customers
    • Manage processes and frameworks to support contractual, billing and regulatory compliance, including conducting contractual audits
    • Generate insightful reports by collating and analysing customer data from multiple systems

    Your success in this role will come from:

    • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or related disciplines, or equivalent experience
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills
    • Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative
    • Experience in managing data and generating meaningful reports
    • Understanding of contract law and management concepts (desirable)
    • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
    • Experience with billing and customer service systems (desirable)
