    Description

    Citywide is recruiting for a Qualified Plumber to work within our prestigious open space contract in Melbourne's CBD. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of plumbing assets in some of the City's most iconic parks and gardens.

  • Fitzroy Gardens Depot
  • Monday to Friday 7am to hourly rate and use of vehicle
  • Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance of all water supply (portable) and sewerage infrastructure within parks, gardens and reserves including public toilets, depots, park residences, taps, drinks fountains, hot water services etc.
  • Undertake and record inspections of plumbing infrastructure.
  • Undertake repairs to plumbing infrastructure eg. repair/replace cisterns, toilets, hand basins, taps etc.
  • Maintain and repair roofing, cleaning of roofs and gutters.
  • Cleaning and adjusting of drinks fountains.
  • Inspection and maintenance of drainage infrastructure including cleaning and repairs to ensure function of pits, sumps and pipes.
  • Testing of backflow prevent devices and submitting compliance certificates to the Water Authority.
  • Fault finding and problem solving to resolve plumbing issues.
  • Assist the Water Team with fountains, ponds, lake cleaning, storm water harvesting, pump maintenance/servicing, water sampling etc.
  • Coordinate and work alongside sub-contractors.
  • Ensure all vehicles, tools and work sites are maintained to a high standard.
  • Be available for on-call roster and provide support to other team members when they are in call.
  • Skills and experience required:

  • Certificated Plumber AQF Level 4 – Licenced and Registered
  • Experience in installing, maintaining and repairing plumbing related items
  • Valid Victorian Drivers Licence
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Traffic Management

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong time keeping skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated, team orientated and able to work autonomously
