    About the role

    Reporting to the Project Wide Signalling Program & Integration Manager, we are currently seeking an experienced Principles Testers to support the signalling testing and commissioning programme.

    • Principles testing of signalling interlocking, set-to-work including simulation data preparation, changeover, and integration thereof against general and Queensland Rail specific signalling principles to validate that the signalling systems provide safe train separation and safe train operations.
    • Provide specialist technical advice on staging and construction methods to be utilised to integrate signalling works in a multi-discipline railway environment to simplify testing.
    • Prepare, develop, and execute principles test plans, test rig design and test data as required for major railway signalling and operational systems and to ensure their appropriateness and completeness to the approved design.
    • Preparation and auditing of test validation documentation.
    • Manage small teams and act as mentor, as required, for engineers/testers and provide direct supervision pursuant to Professional Engineering's Act 2012.

    About You

    • Tertiary Qualification in a related field
    • Authorised Principles Tester with demonstrable experience:
    • QR experience and competence (PT1, PT2 or PT3)
    • Principles Testing experience and competence in the UK or with other Australian Rail Networks to enable application to achieving QR competency.
    • Certified RPEQ or tertiary qualification to enable achieving RPEQ certification.
    • Senior Signal Engineers with experience working with data and signalling principles willing to be mentored to obtain Principles Testing competence are encouraged to apply.
    • Knowledge and experience with applicable systems engineering and assurance standards, familiarisation of rail transport operator safety management system (or equivalent), and experience in a construction railway environment including 'greenfields' and 'brownfields' environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to work successfully and autonomously within a fast paced project environment and deliver on deadlines
