    Leadership Opportunity: Operations Manager – Rental & Used

    We are seeking a strong strategic leader to lead and grow our Cat Rental and Used businesses across Victoria and Tasmania.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, improving overall performance, and achieving profitability targets.

    About the Role

    As Operations Manager – Rental & Used, you will report to the General Manager – Rental & Used and be based out of our Laverton branch.

    Your key focuses will include:

    • Driving your geographically dispersed team to deliver on the performance objectives of both the business and Caterpillar.
    • Improving operational efficiencies, as well as enhancing both the customers' and your employees' experience.
    • Ensuring that continuous improvement initiatives are implemented in all areas of responsibility.
    • Ensuring value for money for our customers by overseeing the utilization of available resources, facilities, systems, plant, and equipment.
    • Key collaborator of relationships between the Cat rental and used teams, wider William Adams, Caterpillar, customers, and suppliers.
    • Being the William Adams Cat Rental and Used representative within industry associations, events, and customer activities.
    • Ensuring business is conducted in accordance with our Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.

    You are a high performing, passionate leader who thrives on exceeding customers' needs. You can quickly build trusted relationships which enable you to understand and anticipate business needs and resolve competing demands.

    You have a demonstrated ability to use your superior engagement, negotiating, and influencing skills with people, to achieve agreed strategic objectives.

    The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading both Sales & Operations teams within the heavy machinery industry, with a strong project, people, and commercial management skills.

    In addition, they will possess sound conflict resolution, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with a strong commercial acumen and ability to balance the needs of the customer, the business, and our people.

    A dedicated commitment to safety and quality work practices is essential, along with formal qualifications in sales, marketing, or business being considered favorably.
