    About the Role

    The Medical Workforce Unit Manager will be a valued member of the Medical Workforce team and will be required to liaise with and support the Divisional Medical Directors and Clinical Directors to oversee the management, rostering and support of their Divisional medical staff. This position, on behalf of the Divisional Medical & Clinical Directors, ensures effective systems and processes for the recruitment, contracting, credentialing, compliance checking, rostering, clinical training and support for all Divisional Medical Officers and Coordinators.

    The position is the key administration liaison with a range of internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to recruitment and management of processes relating to management of the Divisional Medical Workforce.

    Mandatory:

    1. Qualifications or equivalent experience in management (business management, human resource management, health management).
    2. Experience at team leader or manager level.
    3. Well-developed management, communication and interpersonal skills.
    4. Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
    5. An ability to escalate issues of concern appropriately.
    6. Attention to detail and analytical skills in interpreting service needs, general guidelines, legislations, awards, local conditions and the achievability of desired results.
    7. Demonstrated commitment to high level of customer service and continuous system improvement.
    8. Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse range of professional, internal and external stakeholders.
