    • Total Effective Package: $105,546 - $121,475 (p.a.)*

    About the role

    This is an exciting new position within Congress.

    We are looking for the right person to come and join our team asa Culture Care Connect Suicide Prevention Worker.

    Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities continue to besignificantly impacted by suicide and suicidal ideation. TheCulture Care Connect program seeks to overcome the inequalityexperienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people,integrating suicide prevention planning and response activity bydeveloping and delivering trauma-aware, healing-informed aftercareservices which take into consideration the intersection betweenAOD, SEWB and other complementary programs.

    The Culture Care Connect Suicide Prevention Worker isresponsible for providing assertive and timely follow-up care forall Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people referred to thisservice following a suicide attempt or suicidal crisis, in linewith the co-designed aftercare model of care.

    The person in this role will be resourced with strong trainingand ongoing support mechanisms including clinical and culturalsupervision.
