    About the role

    Due to expanding business we have multiple roles currently for junior and experienced aerospace structures engineers to join our teams based in Sydney (Richmond) and Brisbane. As a member of the Airframe Structures team, these positions are responsible for providing airframe structures engineering sustainment support to both local and international military and civil customers, working on multiple aircraft platforms. In these roles, you'll use your existing skills and knowledge to develop and manage engineering tasks, including but not limited to advice, investigations, repairs, structural integrity reporting and modifications.

    About you

    To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment, have well developed relationship skills as well as good verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment. The skills and experience best suited to this role:

  • Professional experience working in an aviation commercial or military field as a practicing Engineer with 3+ years relevant experience
  • Knowledge of airframe structural principles including, structural analysis methods, materials and manufacturing processes, and through-life airframe sustainment, with an awareness of the commercial aspects
  • Demonstrated structural analysis skills including: 'hand stressing' skills; repair / sustainment knowledge; practical FEM analysis ability (HyperWorks, Nastran)
  • Fatigue and damage tolerance skills will be highly regarded
  • Experience in the area of Aircraft Structural Integrity (ASI) in the Defence context and/or composite repairs will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations (e.g. DASR, EASA, CASA, Transport Canada, etc.), standards and best practices
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build long-lasting, collaborative relationships with peers and interdependent functions; and manage conflicting priorities within a matrix organisation
