    Network and Communications Support Specialist

    Description

    We are looking for an e xperienced Network and Communications Support Specialist, based at our Scoresby branch with a customer champion mindset and drive for problem solving. Reporting to the Senior Network and Communications Support Specialist, you'll work to ensure that the network and telephone services throughout our South Pacific and Southeast Asia offices and branches are operating without issue.

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

    • Delivery and support of IT Network Services across the South Pacific and South-East Asia (SEAPAC) region
    • Supports the developments and maintenance of IT Network Services and ensures that tools and resources are capable and available
    • Generates and reports service delivery metrics and maintains standards across SEAPAC (i.e., Scorecards, Service Level Agreement and Customer Satisfaction or Net Promoter Scoring)
    • Acts as a point of contact for customers for service-related inquiries and maintains relationships with key customers
    • Ensures root cause analysis using the formal problems solving approach for recurring issue
    • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and IT Network Services and related infrastructure, discuss with the customer and raise the request for change for assessment if appropriate
    • Regularly engages with the global network support teams, to ensure delivery and coordination of enterprise IT Client Services initiatives in the region, and to seek assistance and support for issues related to the SEAPAC region
    • Participate in financial processes ranging from seeking pricing quotations from suppliers to Purchase Order processing and reconciliations

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    • Minimum 2 - 5 years' experience working in an enterprise environment as a Network Engineer
    • Minimum Industry Certifications - CCNA
    • Cisco switch and router troubleshooting along with a strong understanding of networking technologies such as VLAN, LAN, Wireless and WAN, including SDWAN
    • Knowledge of VOIP telephony and experience in SIP Voice technologies would be highly regarded
    • Intermediate level experience working with network devices from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper Networks, Palo Alto Networks, HP, Dell, Aruba
    • The ability to troubleshoot methodically and escalate incidents when appropriate to meet business SLA objectives
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across various countries and cultural backgrounds, as well as liaising confidently with stakeholders at all levels
    • Highly motivated and self-driven, with the ability to work with minimum supervision
