    Job Title: People, Capability & Inclusion Director

    The Opportunity

    The North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) is a collaborative effort between five Alliance partners: John Holland, KBR, MTM, V/Line, and the client (LXRP). Since 2017, NWPA has successfully delivered eight level crossing removal projects and several premium stations.

    We are seeking a People, Capability and Inclusion Director to provide strategic and operational support to the Alliance Management team and NWPA projects. Key responsibilities include:

    • Providing strategic HR input into the project, ensuring best practice, conditions and deliverables are implemented.
    • Building and leading a team of dedicated project-based People resources across HR operations, social procurement, workforce development and training.
    • Providing strategic leadership on all people-related matters to the project leadership team.
    • Developing and implementing project-specific HR strategies, policies and procedures.
    • Proactively sharing ER lessons learnt with project delivery staff to mitigate risks to the project.
    • Couching and guiding managers through all people-related matters balancing best for project outcomes and employee experience.
    • Developing innovative initiatives and influencing project stakeholders to increase local, Indigenous, female and new entrant participation on the project.

    Position Requirements

    • Extensive experience providing strategic HR leadership and senior-level experience across relevant HR disciplines.
    • Expert knowledge of human resources, employee relations and employment law in Australia.
    • Outstanding stakeholder engagement, influencing and negotiation skills.
    • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, building strong business partnerships.
    • Ability to problem-solve, think laterally, formulate plans, coach and provide advice to senior management.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to create effective teams with a focus on delivering outcomes.
    • Strong business acumen and communication skills.
