    About the Company
    Davidson Technology are currently partnering with a state government department delivering diverse services in areas such as community and disaster recovery, housing and support services and advancing digital technology.

    We are seeking an experienced Program Manager for an initial contract till February 2025 with potential to extend within their Cyber Security Unit.

    This position is a position of trust and will be required to apply for a national security clearance of at least the level of Negative Vetting Level 1(Must be an Australian Citizen).

    About the Role
    In your new role, you will be responsible analysing the critical cyber security needs of the diverse government, influence the executive and technical decision makers, and manage and drive adoption of the delivery to Queensland Government entities. This requires engagement at all levels including senior executives, management and technical staff.

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Prepare, coordinate and deliver information and cyber security programs including the engagement program and understand, analyse and document information and cyber security related posture, risks, needs and priorities of Queensland Government entities.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders both directly and through events and communities of practice to maximise stakeholder awareness of cyber threats and opportunities to improve organisational security posture.
    • Coordinate and deliver advice, training and awareness on information and cyber security both directly and through events and communities of practice to maximise stakeholder awareness of cyber threats and opportunities to improve organisational security posture.
    • Collaborate with intra and inter-jurisdictional entities including the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC), Australian Signal Directorate (ASD) & Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ) to ensure consistency of message, advice and approach and to coordinate joint events, training and communications.
    • Support development of the Cyber Centre of Excellence (CofE) to share best practice in information and cyber security covering areas including data management, governance risk & compliance, policy, strategy, business continuity planning, incident response and recovery and the implementation of technical and process mitigations and controls.
    • Support activities that enhance the security posture of all stakeholders including participation at relevant conferences supporting the Queensland Digital Government Summit and other relevant Queensland Government events and forums.

    About You
    To be successful for this role:

    • Demonstrated program and project leadership including delivery of engagement programs and technical service delivery programs.
    • Demonstrated experience with proven results in stakeholder engagement, business analysis, and delivery of advice and support services working across senior executive, management and technical stakeholders including in highly complex organisations.
    • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and consolidate advice from subject matter experts and to understand technical complexity and to present this advice back to non-technical audiences.
    • Application of analytical, conceptual and innovative problem solving, research and process analysis and improvement skills to identify optimal mitigations and responses to business risks associated with cyber threats.
    • Highly developed communication, consultation and negotiation skills enabling issues to be discussed credibly to achieve the desired outcomes.
    • Ability to prepare, manage and deliver events and communities of practice to promote awareness and capability in information and cyber security.

    The Benefits
    This opportunity offers you a contract till February 2025 with potential to extend at a maximum hourly rate of $146 per hour + Superannuation.

    The client offers flexible working conditions split between work from home and their Brisbane CBD based office.
