    About the Company

    Davidson are working with a state government client who are seeking an experienced Engagement Officer (Digital Content & Social Media).

    About the Role

    This role will be working as part of the Customer Experience and Engagement Team that provides digital content for the department's social media channels and websites.

    • Drive, inspire and implement creative social media campaigns that bring the program's key messages to digital and other audiences.
    • Maintain key internal relationships as part of the Customer Experience and Engagement team and provide key strategic digital advertising and marketing advice.
    • Suggest, write and edit compelling content including copy, photos and reels that promotes the work of the program on social media and other channels.
    • Manage the program's weekly social media calendar and social media channels, including nurturing and building audiences on these platforms.
    • Work within a team to moderate community interactions on social media channels.
    • Explore new channels and stay up to date with the latest social media trends to continuously improve how we communicate and engage our stakeholders.
    • Support the program's paid campaigns and help to manage a vital and dynamic relationship with the key Queensland Government advertising agency to ensure campaigns are effective and run on time and on budget.
    • Generate reports on media/social media/digital coverage of specific issues or business areas as requested and share insights with your communication and engagement colleagues and stakeholders.
    • Be a champion of proper processes, accountability, record-keeping and audit processes to ensure paid advertising campaigns produce value for money for Queenslanders.

    Role Fit

    • Demonstrated experience in writing and editing compelling content including copy, photos and reels on social media and other channels.
    • Demonstrated experience working on social media campaigns.
    • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong stakeholder engagement.
    • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline is desirable.
    • Experience working within Government an advantage.

    The Benefits

    • $62.67 per hour + Super
    • Contract up to April 2027
