    Reporting the Chief Operating Officer, your responsibilities will be diverse across all aspects of the Group, and you will utilise all your years of experience from the workplace health and safety sector.

    The main objective of the WHS Manager is to provide specialist advice for the systematic and structured establishment, implementation, and assurance of management systems for work health, safety and environment for their Australian operations.

    The role will include but is not limited to;Utilising your people skills to work with the different business unit leaders to promote the safe and responsible culture of work across all areas of Group Business activity.

    Liaise and advise Executive, General Managers and other senior members of the Group on technical WHS matters, legislative and regulatory compliance and Australian standards in general.

    Establish and maintain professional working relationships with relevant State and Territory WHS authorities.
    Manage an effective and compliant incident management process and where appropriate manage investigations.
    Develop, coordinate and deliver training and information relating to relevant WHS objectives of issues.
    Assist with the systematic management of Environmental requirements and regulatory framework compliance.

    The skills and experience that will make your transition into this diverse role as seamless as possible are;
    Workplace, health safety and environment experience from a broad range of industry sectors
    Experience with fishing or agri-business related companies will be highly regarded.
    Relevant WHS qualifications (minimum Cert 4)
    Prior staff leadership experience.
    You will have 1 staff member in your team.
    A driver's licence and ability to travel as there will be some domestic travel as part of your role.
