    The Role

    As a member of the Fluid Business Advisory team, you will play a vital role in providing expert services to businesses in Cairns and across Australia. We seek individuals who align with our core values, demonstrating professionalism and integrity in every interaction. In this role, you'll be expected to bring your experience in Public Practice, applying your knowledge to deliver expert accounting, taxation, bookkeeping, and advisory services. Staying present, involved, and engaged in each project, you will embody our business partnership approach, helping clients understand the impact of their business decisions and guiding them toward effective management and growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and financial reporting standards.
    • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including: accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.
    • Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce insightful financial reports and forecasts.
    • Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.
    • Lead and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
    • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
    • Mentor junior staff members and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

    Qualifications
