- Perform electrical repairs and maintenance on various heavy equipment, such as trucks, trailers, and other vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues
- Repair or replace faulty electrical components like alternators, batteries, and starter motors
- Ensure a safe and orderly work environment
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Execute maintenance tasks to meet production goals
- Perform necessary inspections to optimise equipment usage
- Fill out Job Planning Sheets accurately to facilitate job completion
- Conduct technical inspections and estimate job requirements
- Offer solutions through appropriate channels
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness
- Carry out pre-start checks
- Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician with two years experience in a similar / related position
- Demonstrated experience working on heavy equipment, particularly trucks, trailers, and earthmoving equipment
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
