- Analyse a range of data sources to identify students requiring intervention.
- Provide direct instruction using the MacqLit program (training can be provided) for identified students in an individual, or small group.
- Provide intervention for students engaging in the HSC Minimum Standards Reading and Writing tests.
- Use identified needs to guide the learning process toward student achievement.
- Create a small group learning environment that is conducive to learning.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records of planning and assessment.
- Conduct or participate in needed parent conferences and telephone conferences.
- Conduct student assessments to identify those eligible for intervention support.
- Assess the progress of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
- Collaborate as needed, with appropriate personnel regarding students who are receiving additional support.
- Coordinate the HSC Minimum Standards Reading and Writing tests.
- Dynamic and exemplary classroom practitioner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to be innovative and creative.
- Ability to work effectively with an established team of successful practitioners.
- Required qualifications to teach in NSW schools.
