    About the role
    Grampians Health, comprises of the Base Hospital (221 beds), Queen Elizabeth Centre (sub-acute care - 70 beds) and Psychiatric Services (67 beds) and is a major training site for the University of Melbourne and Deakin Rural Clinical Schools and senior staff are strongly committed to teaching and the professional development of Interns, HMOs and Registrars.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in strategic, Operational and Business Planning
    • Assist the Medico Legal work of the Directorate, including preparations of Medico legal reports FOI and Insurance notification
    • Support the Manager Senior and Junior Medical Workforce Administration in the oversight of Junior Medical Officer (including Interns and HMOs) and other doctors-in-training (DITs) recruitment, rostering, rotation planning and orientation
    • Support the Directors of Training in performance issues relating to JMOs and DITs, and oversee the feedback and assessment process for JMOs and DITs at GH
    • Represent the CMO on appropriate committees.

    Skills and experience

    • Medical Degree and Current AHPRA registration
    • Working rights in Australia
    • Working towards post graduate qualifications in medical leadership and management such as enrolled or seeking to enrol as a candidate working towards Fellowship Royal Australasian College of Medical Administration (RACMA) or enrolment in relevant post-graduate studies
    • Knowledge of Medical Legal issues pertaining to health care, Doctor in training matters and training requirements,
    • Knowledge of current clinical quality improvement, patient safety and clinical risk management programs, research, and health service audit or evaluation.

    • Essential : Please detail your experience in working with and supporting other clinicians to achieve a goal
