    Job Description

    Through effective leadership and a refined commercial awareness, the Senior Manager Commercial Operations will develop, implement, monitor and review business strategies that maximises efficiencies and net profits, by driving sales and controlling costs for Parks Victoria's commercial operations across the Parks Victoria estate.

    They will build motivated and high performing teams through effective leadership and line management. They will also ensure that Parks Victoria maximises 'added value' opportunities including raising public awareness and non-retail income.

    The Successful Applicant

    Relevant tertiary qualification in Business and/or equivalent experience is essential; Conservation and Land Management experience would be beneficial
    * Proven experience in sales and/or marketing and managing relationships with key clients
    * Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes
    * Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mindset
    * Demonstrated evidence in management of people and performance standards that enable successful achievement of the organisation's corporate and business plans and objectives including the ability to develop and monitor complex work programs
    * Experience in complex engagement and stakeholder management is required
    * Experience across governance regulations and compliance
    * Regular and unplanned travel to rural and remote areas of Victoria (including areas where no public transport options exist) may be required as part of this role.
