    About the Role.

    We are keen to talk candidates who are seeking a new role as a Financial Analyst to join their team, located in the Brisbane CBD and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the purpose of this role is to:

    • Play a crucial role in the future of the business through the budgeting, forecasting, and analysis which supports major corporate decisions.
    • Provide both quantitative and qualitative analysis on all operational aspects in order to evaluate the company's progress toward achieving its goals.
    • Consider business trends, review past performance, and anticipate potential risks, with an eye for detail towards forecasting the company's future financial result.
    You will be responsible for:
    • Creating, updating, and maintaining financial models and detailed forecasts of the company's operations.
    • Assist with project tendering and estimating.
    • Working with individual departments to prepare budgets, update forecasts & consolidate them into the overall corporate plan.
    • Preparing internal reports for executive leadership and the Board to support decision making.
    • Preparing external reports for market release & loan compliance.
    • Comparing historical results against budgets and forecasts, and performing variance analysis to explain differences in performance.
    • Ensure efficient, timely & accurate analysis and reporting of performance, and comprehensive analysis of trends.
    • Clearly present the results of business analysis, providing key observations, insights & recommendations for further action.
    • Consider opportunities for the company to expand or grow. Mapping out growth plans, including capital expenditures and investments.
    • Build effective business relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Ensure findings are produced and presented in a timely and efficient manner.
    About the Ideal candidate.
    • Qualified Accountant (CA, CPA) or CFA with 2+ years post qualification experience.
    • Proven Excel and financial modelling skills.
    • Commercial acumen and understanding of capital management.
    • Understanding of AASB accounting standards.
    • Excellent analytical & problem solving skills.
    • The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision but operate as a team player.
    • Able to work in a rapidly evolving environment and ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
