Town Planner Role at Reel Planning

Reel Planning is a mid-sized town planning firm with offices in Brisbane, Rockhampton and Cairns. Our team consists of 10 experienced professional planners engaged in various tasks such as development assessment, local government services, court appeals, and strategic planning.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled town planner to join our team based in the Cairns office. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced team members and focus on providing statutory and strategic town planning assistance to regional local government clients. Additionally, there will be opportunities to work across other sectors, including preparing private sector development applications and advice, and assisting with Planning and Environment Court matters.

Requirements

• A tertiary qualification in town planning (or a similar field).
• 1-5 years of experience in a town planning role in either private consulting or government in Queensland.
• The ability to communicate clearly in various settings (written and oral) both internally and externally.
• The capacity to work independently, managing time and priorities effectively.
• The ability to collaborate with others, including internal staff and external clients and consultants.
• A willingness to learn and expand your town planning knowledge and skills as part of this role.
• A passion for regional Queensland.
