    We are seeking an experiences and passionate Registered Nurse - Grade 2 to join our team in a part time or casual capacity as an Operating Theatre Nurse (Scout/Scrub Nurse)

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    • The Operating Theatre Nurse is responsible for assisting in surgical procedures by setting up the room before the operation, working with the surgeon during surgery and preparing the patient for the move to the recovery room for observation. The Operating Theatre Nurses' role is to always support the surgeon.


    KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:
    Essential:

    • Effective communication and organisational skills
    • Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with current APHRA registration.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
    • Ability to priorities tasks and work in a team environment.

    Desirable:

    • Holding or working towards a Post Graduate qualification in Peri operative Nursing.

    Pre-requsities:

    • NDIS Worker screening clearance.
    • Working with Children's Check
    • Vaccinated for COVID-19.
    • Influenza vaccination.
    • Australian Driver's License.


    KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

    • Maintain a clean and safe environment in the Operating Room.
    • Ensure the Operating Room is clean and ready for set up.
    • Take on additional responsibilities as designated by the Nurse Unit Manager of the Operating Room.
    • Prepare instruments and equipment needed for surgery.
