    We are looking for a skilled, passionate Consulting Arborist to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects across Sydney, including complex tree population management for large-scale clients and government and consulting projects.

    Role Responsibilities

    1. Conduct thorough tree assessments and compile detailed arborist reports covering all facets of arboriculture, including advanced diagnostic and aerial assessments.
    2. Engage in large-scale tree population management, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
    3. Implement advanced tree risk assessment methods and management strategies.
    4. Utilise and manage Canopy Consulting's proprietary tree assessment tools (Inventree) and other GIS-based platforms, such as QGIS.
    5. Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities to provide expert arboricultural advice.
    6. Collaborate on innovative projects aimed at improving urban forest health and resilience.

    About You

    1. Qualified Arborist (minimum AQF Level 5 or equivalent) with experience in consulting roles.
    2. Strong knowledge of tree risk assessment techniques, including TRAQ, QTRA, or equivalent methodologies.
    3. Proficiency in digital tools such as Google Workspace, QGIS, and cloud-based data collection platforms.
    4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to distil complex technical information for diverse audiences.
    5. Problem-solver with a proactive approach to managing tree-related issues within urban environments.
    6. Strong knowledge of local environmental and planning regulations, including council DCP clauses and Infrastructure SEPP requirements.
