    Business/Systems Analysts (Information & Communication Technology)

    As one of the largest private bus operators across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, CDC Victoria is in the business of "Linking People, Places and Communities".

    With a fleet of 500 buses and coaches, we employ over 1000 staff from 80 diverse nations, and operate out of 8 depots – in Ballarat, Geelong, Mildura and Broken Hill, Oakleigh, Sunshine, Tullamarine and Wyndham, which incorporates our Head Office.

    We serve the community by providing essential public transport and offering reliable charter services to schools, sporting groups and other recreational groups within Victoria.

    Purpose of the Role:

    CDC are currently searching for a reliable and detail-oriented Systems Report Writer/Analyst, to become an integral part of our Business Performance team located at our Head Office in Truganina. Reporting directly to the General Manager, Business Performance and ESG, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive data management, analytics and reporting services to stakeholders.

    This is a 6-month fixed term position working 3 days per week with the potential for an extension (there is some flexibility around working days).

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Develop operational and analytical reports, manage reporting processes and automated mechanisms, facilitate data management and provide business analysis.
    • Collaborate effectively with the team to provide data solutions, create meaningful reporting analysis, dashboards and datasets, and troubleshoot issues.
    • Complete data extraction, preparation and analysis to facilitate internal business reporting and service performance reports.
    • Support the development of the Power BI platform, manage data integrity and maintain the Data Warehouse.
    • Provide stakeholders with advice, coaching and tools to enable access to data, utilisation of applications and data accuracy.

    To be appointed to the role you must have:

    • Experience in a Business Analysis, Information Technology, Data Analytics or Project Management role;
    • Strong business analysis, data management and reporting skills with the ability to interpret business requirements and translate into functional and technical reporting;
    • Knowledge of BI systems, data servers and systems, technology platforms, applications support, dashboard reporting and analytical tools (i.e., SQL, Power BI, Dynamics 365, CDS, Tableau and CRM tools);
    • Strong stakeholder management, process improvement, problem solving, decision making and change management skills.
    • Outstanding organisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines while managing conflicting priorities.
    • Attention to detail, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
