    Your New Role

    The role of Quality Engineer is to ensure Product and Process Conformance for MSF activities in Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defence (CBRND). You will be supported by the Quality Manager, Operations Manager, Production Engineer and MSF supervisors.

    Activities include:

    • Report product nonconformance
    • Chair sustainment MRB
    • Report for quality on the Daily Standup Meeting (DSUM)
    • Support and provide feedback to DMS Quality Manager
    • Conduct internal audits and support external audits including reviews of other function processes
    • Analyse and improve processes, particularly around assurance
    • Induct and train new staff in quality processes
    • Ensure supplies acceptance & release records are accurate and complete
    • Propose and implement process changes
    • Reporting on quality function and process nonconformance
    • Working with the Production Engineer, create, socialise, and deploy work instructions for production (maintenance and warehouse) and quality based activities
    • Review MSF (warehouse and FSR) Observation Reports for completeness
    • Review Master Build Records (MBR's), and other As Built Configuration documents for completeness and accuracy
    • Being the primary Quality point of contact at MSF

    This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to hold and maintain a current Baseline security clearance.

    Qualifications

    About You and What You'll Bring

    We are seeking someone who will have:

    • At least 5 +years experience in Quality Engineering
    • Experience in a defence warehousing or maintenance environment, with manufacturing and supply chain
    • Technical competency to undertake technical inspection and non-technical inspection
    • Good oral and written communication skills
    • MS Office skills, particularly MS Excel
    • Ability to give unambiguous oral and written instruction
    • Experience working with technical teams and suppliers
    • Knowledge of, and hands-on experience with ISO 9001
