Business Analyst Skills and Experience

The Business Analyst will have the following skills and experience:

• Significant experience in business analysis, business requirements gathering, and systems design.
• Experience in developing business scope and functional requirements including the documentation and graphic representation.
• Experience in working in a team environment with ability to guide and knowledge transfer to project team members.

Data Warehouse Skills and Experience

The Data Warehouse developer resource will have the following skills and experience:

• Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in the design and development of contemporary data warehouses including data modelling and ETL job design and extraction patterns.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in systems analysis and design covering user requirements, functional and technical specifications, data modelling, construction, and implementation.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in effectively managing multiple complex projects in a Data Warehouse context, including researching complex issues, evaluating options, achieving outcomes within agreed timeframes and providing appropriate advice to senior management.
• Extensive experience in the design, coding, testing, maintaining and documentation of computer programs, with an emphasis on Data Warehouse Extract Transform Load (ETL) programming.

5. high level data warehouse experience including concepts, software, modelling techniques,
implementation processes and a sound understanding of the major issues and techniques
involved with logical and physical database design.
6. significant experience in the design, coding, testing, maintenance and documentation of
Extract Transform and Load processes used in data warehousing with Microsoft SQL Server,
Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services and complementary toolsets.
7. significant experience successfully managing tasks to meet critical deadlines while
maintaining quality standards.

SSAS Tabular model developer Skills and Experience

The SSAS Tabular model developer will have the following skills and experience:

• Extensive experience in the design, development and maintenance of Business Intelligence

semantic layers using Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services and complementary toolsets.

• Extensive development experience using Enterprise Business Intelligence platforms (eg SAP

Business Intelligence, Microsoft PowerBI) and Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL)
Server.

• High-level conceptual and analytical skills and the ability to resolve complex problems using

innovative solutions.

• Proven ability to manage a high workload with changing priorities, work independently

under limited direction and coordinate work to meet critical timelines.
5. high level semantic layer knowledge including concepts, software, modelling techniques,
implementation processes and a sound understanding of the major issues and techniques
involved with effective tabular model design.

Presentation Layer (Reporting) Skills and Experience

The report developer will have the following skills and experience:

• In-depth knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in the use of reporting and analytics

software, in particular Microsoft Power BI, to deliver enterprise scale management and
strategic reporting.

• Demonstrated technical experience in the delivery of data and reporting objectives within a

customer oriented and cross-functional service delivery environment.

• Strong interpretative and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret non-specific

requirements, translate these into use cases and technical specifications, and design and
develop appropriate reporting solutions.

• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, prioritise commitments, effectively manage

projects, work plans and schedules to meet critical deadlines while maintaining high quality
data and reporting standards.

• Demonstrated experience working and negotiating with a wide range of stakeholders to

deliver organisational reporting requirements.

• Extensive experience designing, developing and implementing effective Power BI reports

from business requirements
