As we prepare for this exciting new phase, we're launching a new business in Western Australia that invites you to join us right from the beginning giving you the opportunity to be part of the journey as we bolster our capacity to deliver operations and maintenance services within the utilities sector.

The Role

Based in our Canning Vale depot, we have multiple roles to work regionally on a 10 & 4 roster.

In this new role you will be operating crane borers to company and manufactures requirements to complete powerline replacement work including;

• Maintain crane on a daily basis by inspecting for defects or wear and lubricated as required;
• Operating the crane in a safe and responsible manner at all times;
• Check the condition of the ground (e.g. building site) before setting up the crane;
• Place the correct equipment under the outrigger pads of the crane (normally these are timber blocks, but they can be steel plates depending upon the condition of site);
• Check that the crane is level on the outriggers before attempting to lift and place a load;
• Be aware as to how much material can be safely hoisted in each load according to the crane's capacity and the weather conditions e.g. high winds;

The successful candidate will require:

• Crane Operators Ticket (National or State ticket) - C6
• Minimum of 1 year experience on crane borer within the electrical supply industry
• Construction White Card
• Western Power High Voltage accreditation – Preferred
