    Description

    Keystone Engineering – Metal Fabricators Wanted

    Keystone Engineering specialises in custom fabrications for several key industries including mining, construction and commercial industries. We are currently seeking two full-time Metal Fabricators who are skilled in welding steel, stainless steel and aluminium and would be willing to commit to a long-term appointment.

    Main Duties and Tasks

    • Interpret drawings / plans to determine job specifications and accurately estimate materials;
    • Plan and organise materials / equipment according to logical sequences ensuring uninterrupted workflow;
    • Accurately calculate measurements taking into account percentages and proportions;
    • Mark out structural fabrications and shapes correctly so as to minimise wastage;
    • Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines;
    • Fabricate, assemble and fit materials using appropriate techniques, equipment and tools;
    • Utilise skills in MIG, TIG and Arc welding;
    • Use tools and equipment correctly following manufacturer's specifications and safety standards;
    • Support and maintain effective communication and cooperation with other operational sections within the business;
    • Ensure that health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times.

    Selection Criteria

    To be successful, you must:

    • Have a relevant trade qualification in metal fabrication / boiler-making / sheet metal
    • Have a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in similar role(s)
    • 3An Australian Driver's Licence would be an advantage

    Remuneration

    • The remuneration package includes a salary of $71,136.00 plus 11% superannuation contribution.
    • Hours of work (38 per week) can be conducted over a flexible working week.
