    Permanent full-time position

    $50-$53ph hour + superannuation (depending on experience)

    How you will make an impact
    The Senior Payroll Specialist is a 2IC role reporting in to the Payroll Manager and will support them and provide operational direction and guidance to the team for the seamless delivery of payroll services.

    The Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible for providing accurate, timely and efficient payroll services for Cabrini Health employees. Ensuring all operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities are accurate and delivered within appropriate time frames and comply with relevant legislation, policies, and agreements.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Act as point of escalation for the team for queries and issues and drive service delivery in the absence of the Payroll Manager
    • Administrative duties in relation to E2E payroll process and query management across all business units within Cabrini
    • Undertaking deep analysis and reconciliations to identify root causes and work towards resolution of complex issues and data governance
    • Supporting compliance through ensuring regulatory, EBA or legislative changes are maintained and implemented in a timely manner
    • Proactively driving efficiencies in all Payroll processes through standardisation
    • Partnering with technical specialists and administering approved changes, system updates, EBA / super / ATO changes
    • Conducting maintenance of payroll files and forms, and liaising with key financial stakeholders and staff

    About you
    The successful candidate will have 10+ years payroll experience and is tertiary qualified in Accounting / HR or another relevant field. A healthcare background is desirable however, not essential.

    You will have:

    • Strong experience in processing end to end payroll in a large scale complex environment governed by multiple EBAs and awards
    • Previous experience in operating in a specialist or leadership space for Payroll operations is highly desirable
    • Ability to interpret different awards and EBAs in an Australian work environment
    • Knowledge of Leave, payroll tax and Workcover and its application, particularly as it relates to payroll processing
    • Experience in Chris21 Payroll system is desirable, otherwise training will be provided
    • High level customer service skills including outstanding interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
    • High level of expertise in numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong experience with interpretation of modern awards and agreements in Australian work environment
