    Description

    The Role:
    Our client operates a large family-owned mixed farming operation covering 4,800 hectares near Beckom, which is ideally located in the middle of 5 large regional centres in Southern Riverina, NSW. They utilise 4,000Ha to produce wheat, canola, barley, lupins and oats and export both oaten and wheaten hay. A further 800 ha is dedicated to producing pastures for their 2,500 Merino ewes and progeny, plus trade lambs when seasons allow.

    We seek a highly motivated, experienced, and conscientious person to join this professional, family-owned and operated business. You must have experience in broadacre cropping, including spraying, sowing, and harvesting. Experience with haymaking equipment and operations is also desirable. Operating very modern farming machinery & equipment, you will be involved in all mechanical and maintenance programs, general farm work, haymaking and some livestock handling. An aptitude for mechanics will be highly beneficial in this role.

    The Offer:
    The successful applicant must be willing to undertake flexible hours according to seasonal workloads and commitments. A generous remuneration package with overtime in line with experience and skills will be negotiated with the successful applicant. A work ute will also be provided for work purposes and a comfortable 4-bedroom home. There is school bus access nearby, and great schooling options are available.

    The Ideal Candidate:

    • Experience with broad acre cropping equipment & operations – tractors, seeders, loaders, trucks, harvesters, chaser bins, windrowers, haymaking – rakes, balers etc.
    • Previous spraying experience will be highly regarded
    • HC/MC Licence is preferred or be willing to obtain
    • Great communication skills
    • Enjoy problem-solving and be a team player
    • Willingness to learn and take responsibility
    • Chem Cert certification
    • Workshop skills – mechanical, maintenance, welding etc.
    • Livestock handling experience is a bonus.
