    Position Summary:

    Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible to provide electrical support for the site to ensure equipment reliability through effective troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Provide electrical support to site and effectively troubleshoot electrical faults.
    • SAP – entering all completed tasks and booking our spare parts.
    • Ensuring all work meets Engineering standards.
    • 80% of PMs completed within the nominated timeframe.
    • All work to be completed in line with food safety requirements.
    • Ensure all electrical equipment is installed in compliance with AS3000.
    • Make safety a priority and champion a safety culture with the team.
    • Contribute to team culture and engagement plans.
    • Regular interaction with Production, Warehouse, Quality, Maintenance and Administration Teams.
    • Responsible for engineering support to standards and expectations and that all relevant documentation relating to the areas of responsibility are maintained to present standards.
    • Log and complete all work in the maintenance system as listed on the work schedule.
    • Read pneumatic schematics and fault find in a safe and efficient manner and make modifications as required.
    • Weld all materials using Oxy, Tig, Mig.
    • Investigate failures and provide recommendation of improvements to reduce the risk of occurrence.
    • Shift work required. Work unsupervised on shift and make decisions in order to promote efficiency.
    • Promote a helpful and friendly relationship with customers and staff including communicating effectively with production people and other members of the maintenance team.
    • Report any abnormal problems which may occur and could disrupt the smooth running of the operation.
    • Project work as required.
    • Assist in the training of new staff and or functions when required.
    • Complete all tasks and duties as reasonably requested by your leader.
    • Pro-actively seek continuous improvement opportunities within the business.

    The successful candidate will have:

    • Trade qualified (electrical trade) or tertiary.
    • 3-5 years' experience working as Electrician in FMCG industry, preferably within Dairy Industry.
    • Understanding of LOTO, JSA's etc.
    • UHT/ESL experience advantageous.
    • Knowledge of PLC programming.
    • To work independently and/or as part of a team.
    • Utilize CMMS (SAP).
    • Welding Skills (TIG, MIG, Stick, Oxy).
    • Industrial experience including fault finding and root cause analysis .
    • Breakdown maintenance and diagnostic experience.
    • Ability to read and understand hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
    • Demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude.
