    The Role:

    We are seeking a Compliance Officer to join our legal team.

    You will report directly to the Chief Legal Officer and be responsible for ensuring our group adheres to all relevant regulations and company policies.

    In consultation with the Chief Legal Officer, you will implement a comprehensive compliance framework overseeing areas such as contract management, supplier due diligence, and risk mitigation strategies.

    You will also assist with the management of legal issues on a day-to-day basis under the direction of the Chief Legal Officer.

    Your Key Responsibilities:

    • Developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust compliance framework;
    • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant Australian building codes, industry standards, and procurement regulations;
    • Conducting thorough due diligence on potential suppliers;
    • Identifying and mitigating potential compliance risks;
    • Collaborating with the procurement team to ensure all purchases comply with established standards;
    • Maintaining, updating, and rolling out template agreements in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders;
    • Liaising with the Senior Leadership Team and external law firms regarding corporate secretarial matters;
    • Reviewing, drafting, and/or developing non-complex legal documents (e.g., Non-Disclosure Agreements) and communications independently;
    • Independently handling legal and/or factual research as required.

    About You:

    To be successful in this role, you will have 3 years or more experience in a compliance role with a strong understanding of compliance regulations and best practices.

    Strong written and oral communication skills are sought, and the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with the business and cross-functional teams is required.

    Legal qualifications are preferred.
