    Bell Textron Australia is a leading provider of helicopter maintenance services with facilities in Coffs Harbour, NSW and Redcliffe, QLD. We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures to join our team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out to the highest standard in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as Civil Aviation Regulations.
    • Maintain accurate and complete records of aircraft maintenance activities, including work packs and log book entries.
    • Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and implement improvements to processes and procedures.
    • Provide guidance and support to apprentices to ensure they meet budgetary and delivery schedules.
    • Implement corrective actions to address project overruns and ensure timely completion of tasks.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and preferences.

    Quality, Safety and Environment:

    • Conduct maintenance activities in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
    • Participate in the development and revision of company procedures for continuous improvement.
    • Actively engage in company-wide safety initiatives and programs.

    People Leadership:

    • Provide clear direction and guidance to apprentices to ensure successful completion of maintenance tasks.

    Commercial Management:

    • Manage and control resources to ensure timely completion of allocated maintenance and projects.
    • Procure spare parts in a timely manner to meet project deadlines while maintaining an optimal cost structure within the MRO.
    • Review job packs for assigned projects to ensure completeness and accuracy.
    • Monitor and report on estimated versus actual hours to prevent overruns.
    • Closed jobs are submitted to Engineering Services for processing and invoicing at project completion.

    Sales and Customer Management:

    • Provide regular feedback to the Maintenance Supervisor on progress of planned maintenance.
    • Participate in responding to customer queries and complaints.

    Regulatory and Compliance:

    • Ensure maintenance activities comply with Civil Aviation regulations for VH registered aircraft or equivalent regulations for foreign registered aircraft.
    • Record and notify any inaccuracies or ambiguities in maintenance data to the Maintenance Supervisor.
    • Demonstrate good judgment and efficiency in resource utilization.
    • Maintain personal conduct in line with the Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct & Business Ethics.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Experience in an aircraft maintenance facility performing structural repairs, heavy maintenance, and modifications.
    • Understanding of Aviation regulatory requirements and standards for aircraft maintenance.
    • Basic computer literacy in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems and Microsoft suite.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Structural repair and modification experience on aircraft under the scope of the Bell Textron Australia CAR 30 and Part 145 certificates.
    • Previous experience in an organization with a similar scope and size to Bell Textron Australia.
