    An excitingopportunity to work in a pivotal role at the SA Maritime Museum,located in the historic Port Adelaide precinct.

    About theRole:

    The SAMaritime Museum Manager is responsible for leading a dedicated teamto deliver excellence in visitor experiences, security andintegrity of the SA Maritime Museum's (SAMM) buildings,contents and grounds and the delivery of a highly positiveexperience of the History Trust of South Australia through itsmuseums.

    Key componentsof therole:

    • Coordinate the corevisitor experience at the SA Maritime Museum and ensurebusiness opportunities are responded to andimplemented.
    • Coordinate theadministrative needs of the SA Maritime Museum operations andprovide assistance as directed by the Manager ofMuseums.
    • Actcollaboratively with other Museum Managers at HTSA museumsseeking to align and streamline services, business operationsand visitor experience initiatives.
    • Ensure theinduction, performance management and training of assignedstaff and volunteers as well as the coordination and managementof volunteer scheduling at the SA Maritime Museum.
    • Exemplify highstandards of customer service and actively promote, encourageand model a positive workplace culture.
    • Actas the first point of contact for finance and HR mattersrelating to the SA Maritime Museum.
    • Advise and assistwith marketing and promotional initiatives at the SA MaritimeMuseum.

    Aboutyou:

    You havea keen interest in South Australia's maritime history and area dynamic individual, able to adapt, innovate and lead highperforming teams with a customer led focus.

    SpecialConditions:

    Some outof hours work may be required. Occasional weekend work may berequired. Engagement in this role is subject to a satisfactoryDepartment of Human Services Working with Children Check.Intrastate and interstate travel may be required and a currentdriver's licence is desirable.

    Qualifications:

    Desirable:Qualifications in related fields such as History, Education and/orTourism.

    Remuneration:

    ASO4$75,430 - $79,070 per annum (1.0 FTE), plussuperannuation
