    Tuna & Pilchard Fishing Crew Wanted

    Join the Stehr Group, a leading Australian seafood company, and be part of our dynamic aquaculture team.

    We're seeking enthusiastic individuals to contribute to the safe, efficient, and effective operation of our vessel through various skills related to fish catching and husbandry processes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in tuna & pilchard netting, hauling, and processing.
    • Set up and operate fishing gear.
    • Participate in pilchard & tuna catching activities, including netting and sorting.
    • Avoid safety hazards and adhere to environmental regulations.

    Requirements:

    • Prior experience is preferred but not necessary.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Physical fitness for challenging weather conditions.
    • Availability for tuna harvest operations.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Maintain cleanliness of the vessel.
    • Ensure personal safety and that of others.
    • General maintenance tasks.
    • BASIC NET REPAIRING SKILLS ARE REQUIRED.

    This is a casual position with potential for full-time employment for the right candidate.

    An appropriate remuneration package will be confirmed based on skills, experience, and qualifications.

    A pre-employment medical must be undertaken prior to commencement.
