    Job Description

    Our new Breakfast Demi Chef will:

    • Assist the chef in charge to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen.
    • Prepare mise en place for all relevant menus.
    • Ensure consistent great food production, in line with the high quality standards set by the hotel.
    • Ensure that all dishes are prepared consistently and according to standard
    • Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage, and assist with ordering necessary food items.
    • Comply with all WHS, food safety legislation.
    • Provide a courteous and professional service and ensure that guest feedback are actioned and communicated to the team
    Qualifications

    To be successful in this role, you must:

    • Have at least 1 year work experience as a Demi Chef working in a hotel or restaurant with high food quality standards
    • Have the ability to operate various kitchen equipment and practice sound cooking techniques.
    • Completion of Chef Apprenticeship or has a Certificate in commercial cookery
    • Good food hygiene and safety knowledge, including safe and accurate knife skills
    • Knowledge and experience in a variety of different cooking methods
    • Be available to work varied shifts including, early morning, weekends and public holidays.
    • Have the ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.
