HDD Driller / Driller Offsider / Trenchless Technology Apprentice

The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for:
Experienced Horizontal Directional Drillers
Apprentices – Trenchless Technology / HDD Pathway

Key Role Responsibilities
Horizontal Directional Driller / Offsider
Set up, operate and assist with HDD rigs and associated support equipment
Conduct pilot drilling, reaming and pull-back operations
Monitor bore alignment, depth and drilling fluid performance
Assist with drill rod handling, tooling changes and rig maintenance
Coordinate with supervisors, service locators and traffic management crews
Perform daily pre-starts, plant inspections and routine maintenance
Accurately complete drilling reports, bore logs and as-built documentation
Work safely around live services, road crossings and congested urban environments
Maintain high standards of housekeeping, environmental compliance and site presentation
Apprentice – Trenchless Technology
Learn HDD operations under the guidance of experienced drillers
Assist with rig set-up, drill string assembly, and site preparation
Develop skills in bore tracking, fluid management, and equipment maintenance
Gain hands-on experience in underground conduit and cable installation
Complete structured on-the-job training and formal apprenticeship requirements
Build strong safety awareness and technical competency in trenchless works
About You
Previous HDD, underground services, or civil construction experience (preferred but not essential for apprentices)
Construction White Card (mandatory)
Valid WA driver's licence (C-Class minimum; MR/HR highly regarded)
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
Reliable, professional, and motivated to build a long-term career
