    About the role:

    Aurizon are seeking an Administration Officer to join the Bulk Central division located in Whyalla. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the team and local operations by providing all round administrative duties.

    You will be responsible for:

    • Providing administrative support to the managers and employees
    • Payroll summaries
    • Leave, medicals and training roster
    • Organising functions, events, travel and site tours.
    • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and providing support as required
    • Performing a range of database systems processing and administrative functions through input, maintenance and reporting of data within various systems and communication tools.
    • Providing support with procurement and purchasing
    • Uniform and PPE ordering
    • Ensuring all enquiries are actioned accurately and within a timely manner
    • Document creation and support
    • Additional ad-hoc duties as required

    About you:

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to enter Aurizon on an entry level basis. On the job training and development will be provided so it is important that you possess a willingness to learn and a can-do attitude. You have a great eye for detail and are a people person who can demonstrate effective interpersonal skills.

    In this role you will have ability to work autonomously and liaise with both internal and external stakeholders, with customer service being your passion. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing work demands.

    You will bring:

    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Ability to problem solve and provide support function to field-based teams
    • Current drivers' licence (essential)
    • Must have a can-do attitude and ability to work in a team environment
    • Have a high level of autonomy with sound analytical and decision-making skills
    • Demonstrate a willingness to learn new systems such as Microsoft office programs
    • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
