    Psychologist - Fixed Term Full Time

    The Department of Education is looking for a skilled and passionate Psychologist, to contribute to the important work of our Student Support Services (SSS) team in Melbourne Maribyrnong in supporting schools to address the barriers that impact on student(s) access, preparation, and progress to achieving their educational goals and development potential. Student Support Services aims is to assist children and young people facing a range of barriers to learning to achieve their educational and developmental potential through the provision of a range of strategies and specialized support at individual, group, and school levels. As part of an Area based multi-disciplinary health, wellbeing, and inclusion team, you will work to help build the capability of schools to support student achievement, engagement, and wellbeing. Also: * Provide and facilitate capability- building of schools with Tier 1 and Tier 2 interventions and programs. * Support schools to develop high quality Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Support Plans that are based on data and functions of behaviour. * In conjunction with schools, develop Educational Needs Assessments for students in Out of Home Care. * Support schools in critical incident response and recovery. * Assume the role of the Health and Wellbeing Key Contact for 3-4 schools in the Area.
